Voilà,
en publiant, il y a quelques jours, cette photo dans un groupe intitulé "Manhattan before 1990" hébergé par un réseau social bleu, je ne me doutais pas que cette anodine scène de rue susciterait autant de commentaires. Il semblerait en effet qu'à mon insu, j'ai alors photographié une célébrité locale. Beaucoup de contributeurs semblent persuadés que la dame attablée en terrasse, lisant un journal, soit Bella Abzug une militante féministe très populaire au cours des années 70. D'autres intervenants ont rappelé, que la ville, fut cet été 1985, le lieu d'une bataille juridique entre deux franchises vendant des glaces.

RépondreSupprimerIf that is Bella Abzug, I am impressed. She was always one of my heroes as she crusaded for human rights, women's rights, and against the Vietnam war. She was ahead of her time being right on so many issues. I do like your photograph.
