RépondreSupprimerSadly, the building projects that took place after World War II destroyed many of the substrate levels of London, so it's only metaphorically like an ancient, layered city now. Once it was truly like that, with evidence of the Romans, the Dark Ages, the fires, and so on. But it's still like that in the imagination.
