Il pressentait bien qu'il devait y avoir un état où s'approcher possiblement de la vraie vie : celle des étonnements, des émotions éprouvées devant des apparitions ou des formes qui se dessinaient, celle des fugitives extases liées à l'évanescent surgissement d'une fragrance à peine perceptible et qui en une fraction de seconde convoque tout un peuple de fantômes. ... toutes choses qu'il aurait voulu s'approprier pour qu'elle ne s'anéantissent pas dans l'oubli. À présent Alejandro Morrastel fabrique des marionnettes.

My mom was a doll maker, among other artistic things. She also repaired dolls and her studio was full of heads, arms, legs, feet, eyes and hair. All for porcelain dolls. It was a magical place.
