I had not encountered this film or Chris Carter before. <br /><br />When I was a child-- especially in the early 50's--- I would see nuclear bomb tests on television-- buildings blown away like tissue paper, islands disappearing. And I was even aware of the craziness of some people in power over there, and even here. I had no hope for the future. Occasionally I am surprised to have made it this far. It seems we have our own horrors for this time, but the total effect seems the same. I watched this, but I need to watch it more closely, and without distraction.
